Introduction | I’m a Tanzanian journalist/communicator cum lawyer who is a member of the Journalists’ Environmental Association of Tanzania with a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Journalism and Communication from Makerere University, Uganda and an Undergraduate Degree in Laws from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I did an online course on ICT Journalism conducted by the International Institute of ICT Journalism based in Accra, Ghana and a basic course in International Environmental Law by the United Nations Institute of Training and Research of Geneva, Switzerland. I have been a journalist for past 10 years and worked in various capacities up to the level of Assistant Features’ Editor with The Guardian (Tanzania). Between 2005 and 2007 I also worked as a features' writer for the Daily Monitor (Uganda). Besides, I worked in Uganda for two years with an NGO-Rural Development Media Communications as Communications Officer. I also worked with Right To Play International (Tanzania), Plan International Tanzania in capacities of Country Communications Coordinator and Communications Advisor respectively. |
