| Introduction | Welcome to my blog, but bear with me, I'm new to this. To giving advice to parents? No. To writing, definitely no. But to using a blog? Yes; but I will learn. I am grateful to have a place to talk with parents, beyond what I do in my own work. I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students for the past fifteen years. After a decade of tutoring, I created my Strategies for Success Workshops to teach kids how to manage school and learning more effectively, and to teach their parents how to support those efforts. I am a parent, too; but my two children, who I raised on my own, are adults now, and living on their own. BUT, if I could go back and do it over....?! Oh, baby. I can't tell you how differently I'd support them now. I invite you to become part of the conversation! |
