| Introduction | I was a police officer in Florida for over thirty-six years (1967-2003). I was with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department for over twenty-six years and after I retired in 1993 I worked another ten years with the State of Florida (Department of Insurance/Division of Insurance Fraud). I retired from Ft. Lauderdale P.D. as a captain and that was my rank at Insurance Fraud too. I'm very proud of the law enforcement profession. Most police officers are very dedicated people and it was indeed an honor and a privilege for me to have been associated with such a fine group of individuals. |
| Interests | I do volunteer work with our local crisis hotline (2-1-1), also with the Guardian ad Litem Program which advocates for abused and neglected children. I also enjoy writing and I've written a non-fiction book about violent crime in 1970's Fort Lauderdale (Florida). It's title is: Badge 149 - "Shots Fired!" My book's web site is: www.badge149.com |
