| Introduction | I grew up in Southern California. I met my husband Jack(40+ years :-D), at Brigham Young University. We raised our 5 children in S. Cal. but moved to Utah about 15 years ago. I became interested in emergent reading when I needed to help one of my own children learn to read. Teachers could not give me any ideas about how to teach my child at home. Emergent reading has been my passion since returning to college. As a teacher, I give many strategies to the parents of my students to enable them to help teach their children at home. I love my career helping little people discover the world of reading. |
