Introduction At 25 years old, I walked into what I thought would be a routine 20 week ultrasound with hope and expectation, and I walked out with my dreams for our second child broken and crushed. Trisomy 18 came into our world like a meteor, crashing into our life with overwhelming force. But it was at this point, when I was at my most vulnerable that Jesus stepped in and did a miraculous work in my life. He altered the way I viewed the world, the way I viewed pain, the way I viewed Him. Poppy Joy was born on December 1st, and spent 3 amazing hours with us. Her life was the fulfillment of every prayer we prayed. She surpassed our expectations and left us changed. God gave me one of His greatest treasures when He gave me Poppy; a treasure I will hold in my heart forever. Poppy's story didn't end with her death. She touched lives across the globe, pointing people to God in a way that I never could have alone. And it was through her that God laid on our hearts the desire to adopt. We began the process in February, 2008, and on May 29th we welcomed Adrienne home. God's goodness and love in my life has come full circle.
