Introduction | I am the chief of the business and economics bureau for Kantipur, Nepal’s national daily. During more than a decade-long journalism career, I have published more than 500 articles on politics, business, corruption and economic reform. Many of my stories have forced the government to initiate reforms and many people involved in corruptions have been exposed and penalized. Currently I am a Hubert Humphrey Fellow at the University of Maryland, Phillip Merrill College of Journalism. This is a Fulbright program funded by the U.S. State Department, which awards mid-career professionals a year of study to help them develop leadership and professional skills. During my fellowship year I wish to study journalism, governance, development and corruption issues. |
