| Introduction | Ever since I attended my first opera, Le Nozze di Figaro, in Paris in 1992, I've been hooked on the art form. Since then, I've seen opera at venues ranging from world stages like the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera, and the Vienna State Opera, to the local stages in the Washington, DC area, like Ash Lawn, Castleton, and Catholic University. I'm probably fondest of the soprano voice in the bel canto repertoire, but I also especially love Mozart. And I'm thinking about attending Washington National Opera's full Ring Cycle this fall. |
