About me

Gender FEMALE
Occupation Nurse
Location Currently in Kampala, Uganda, Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
Introduction I graduated from Thomas Jefferson University’s School of Nursing, and landed a job at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as a Cardiac ICU nurse. I have a heart for children and was blessed to exercise it there and across many areas of my life. In September 2010 God took my heart and person to Uganda, East Africa. I have desired to work with children/adolescents suffering from the effects of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases and am now learning how to do that... He brought me across the ocean to the center of Africa to what I thought was "help care for some children and hopefully help them know their Healer, Maker, and King" and while this has been true, I'm learning that there is much more that He bumped me for...relationships, continuing to learn about myself, learning to know my Savior Jesus and let Him live out in and change me, learning to care as He cared for people walking through daily life...I'm along for the ride. God is at work shaping, refining, and sculpting...a lifelong process, often painful, but also filled with joy and fun. I invite you to join me in watching as God reforms this broken vessel for the display of His glory...
Interests I love people, kids, Jesus. I love laughing and doing adventurous stuff! I want to spend my life making the most of it and investing my time and energy into sharing the comfort and hope I've found in Jesus with children and people... So why did I pick up and move to Uganda? It's simple...God put the opportunity in front of me and I jumped on it and like all of life he's been shaping me through it... "For we are God's Workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works which God prepared in advance for us to do."-Ephesians 2:10
