| Introduction | Andy Sewina aka Danny Wise... Welcome to my Naive Pub Poetry Page, I call it Pub Poetry 'cos most of it was written after a few beers down the local watering hole. I could've called it dub poetry but there's already something called that, even though rub-a-dub-dub, is rhyming slang for, you guessed it, Pub. Most of my rhymes have been performed in pubs and they probably sound a lot better after a few drinks. I used to send my poems to magazines for publication(there's that word pub again) but most of them got rejected. The best rejection slip I ever got said: THIS IS NOT POETRY! Then the other day I was looking through some old poetry notes, when I found the following quote from Steve Waling. 'Bad comedians, all sound alike. Bad poets, sound like themselves!' I wonder if he was trying to tell me something. Anyway, I hope you enjoy my naive non-poetical-pub-not-dub-poetry/rhymes. |
