Introduction When I first started painting again (after a twenty year break) I was interested in fractals and natural forms. After my first exhibition, 'Wild Life' in 2013, I began to wonder how I could bring humans into my visual explorations of life and the natural world. I picked up my lifelong study of Indian art and philosophy and returned that year to Karnataka, South India, where I studied Hoysala temple carvings and Jain murals. In 2014 my Indian dancers emerged. In 2015 I produced a series of images for Rachel Amey's performance poetry show 'Peacock Blue' in the Edinburgh festival. It was inevitable. The peacocks merged with the dancers... and suddenly I had a form to play with that allowed me to explore my sense of the undivided nature of humans and the natural world, and the overall weirdness and strangeness of existence. These forms are continually evolving. My website is: tamsinhaggis.com
