Gender MALE
Industry Education
Occupation To quote W. Stevens, I'm a priest of the invisible. And now I mold the minds of our country's "childrens" as Pres Bush would say.
Location Tampa, Florida, United States
Introduction I have an MFA in poetry from the University of Florida, and since poets make no money, I'm looking into the lucrative profession of fly fishing, though I've never been fond of that much silence, or fishing.
Interests Writing, reading, sleeping, mountain biking, guitaring (it's a word now, dammit), walking around with my eyes closed and thereby creating my own reality (while the other bruises my shins), entertaining the idea that I'm doing this all with my mind.
Favorite Movies I [Heart] Huckabees; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind; Once; Braveheart; Road to Perdition; No Country for Old Men; The Dark Night; Bad Boys 2; Hot Fuzz; Mr. and Mrs. Smith
Favorite Music The Spill Canvas, As Tall as Lions, Death Cab for Cutie, Gov't Mule, Jimmy Eat World, Snow Patrol, Silvertide, Cartel, The Audition, The Fray, Taking Back Sunday, 30 Seconds to Mars, Bullet for My Valentine, Augustana, The Fold, The Used, The Format, a bunch of other 'the' bands, Copeland, This Day and Age, Rookie of the Year, and this could just keep going on and on so I'll stop.
Favorite Books The Unbearable Lightness of Being - Milan Kundera, Early Occult Memory Systems of the Lower Midwest - BH Fairchild, Collected Poems - Wilbur, The Voice at 3am - Simic, Jesus' Son - Denis Johnson, Glass Irony and God - Anne Carson, Writing Europe, Cry The Beloved Country - Paton, Weep Not Child - Wa Thiang'o, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - JS Foer, Cat in the Hat, Auden, Whitman, Dickens. This is a dumb question.

When you've got water stuck in your ear, how do you get it out?

Carefully, and with a spoon.
