| Introduction | In 2008, I left my job of 12 years at De Anza College. I'm hoping to go back to school and pursue my Nursing degree. For now, I'm working p/t (weekends) in childcare and looking for another p/t job that will allow me to help with my mom and attend classes that will start in Fall. As for the job, I'll let you know in a few years when I find one. |
| Interests | Family, gardening, reading, cooking, TiVo, animals, nature, traveling, movies, trying new restaurants, kids and babies :) |
| Favorite movies | Wow....so many! Classics: The Sound of Music. Lots of 80's movies from my teenager-hood: Sixteen Candles, etc.; Most any black and white/old movies!: The Egg and I, It Happened One Night, Life with Father, Cheaper By the Dozen (the ORIGINAL- not the newer one); ANYTHING Jane Austen or PBS/British miniseries: Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth is my FAVE!! ANY Doris Day movie. (My pic on my blog was taken from her pet-friendly hotel in Carmel, CA. They have her old movie posters framed all over the place!) |
| Favorite music | I'm now officially old. I don't listen to much new stuff, I'm sorry to say :( So my faves are all reminiscent of my youth! So basically, that's just about any of the 80's or 90's hairbands! Some other fave artists: Phil Collins/Genesis, Bette Midler, John Denver. But I also love nature CDs, classical and religious, such as the Mormon Tab. Choir. |
| Favorite books | Little Women, ALL the Little House books, Jane Austen books, most all of Amy Tan books. And I LOVE to "read" cook books! I know- weird- but I love them and I collect them. BEST ONE? By far: "America's Test Kitchen Family Cookbook." The ONLY one you'll ever need! |
