Introduction | I graduated Kent State University with a Bachelor's of Architecture in 2007, and after working in Cleveland for a year I came to Washington, DC. Here, I am still working towards becoming an architect, as well as learning as much as I can about urban gardening. I was raised in a gardening family, we have had large plots and grown everything from potatoes, carrots, strawberries, and cucumbers to apples, peaches, and grapes ever since I can remember. My grandfather was in forestry, and fueled my love for taking care of the land we occupy, growing food, and most of all continiuing learning. I believe gardening, like architecture is a practice, in the sense that you can only get better at it by doing it, experimenting, and learning from successes and mistakes. |
