| Introduction | Im a 42 year old married, father of 2 who is desperately trying to buy some time against Non-small Cell Lung Cancer. It has remained unchecked for an extended period and had spread to my bones and lymphatic system. Recent results suggest I have cleared it from my lymphatic system, which is very encouraging. I also have evidence my tumours are shrinking and my bones appear to be mending. I have been advised I have less than 12 months, but I dont believe I will succumb to the disease quite that quickly as I am slowly turning the tables judging by those recent results. The "Blog" was conceived in response to family and friends who wanted to be updated on my progress, but in the early days after my diagnosis, I had lost my voice, and had not been able to maintain phone conversation. Fortunately I have regained my voice and continue to surpass doctors expectations. I hope to also fit some living in before the symptoms of the disease incapacitate me. Just as soon as we can put the brakes on the internal spread of this agressive bastard! |
| Interests | Since free weights and body building have been put on the back burner after chemotherapy commenced, I have indulged in my love of Holden Musclecars and now own an original SS Torana Hatchback with all the "go fast" bits!!! We also embarked on a 'round Australia trip to fit in some quality time with my young family and made lifetime memories. We now have a heightened appreciation for this rugged yet beautiful country. |
