Introduction	The author is a white male, “over 40 and never married” (bet you know a few of those, huh, even in your own family), and somewhat nerdy. He grew up in a small town in Maine and lived for years in Washington, DC. He believes in the Oxford comma, that “literally” is not synonymous with “very much so,” and despises MS-Word's clumsy page numbering system. He can’t decide between SMBC or XKCD, and feels the only true painkiller is Soggy. He believes ignorance is not a more sincere form of knowledge (and certainly not a basis for “opinions” one lacks the spine to discuss), and that acknowledging one’s faults is not an excuse for indulging them. Most of all, he tries to remember to count his blessings often, of which he has many. And if Shaun from New Zealand sees this, please email me. Let’s pick up where we left off ;-)
