Introduction I am a 26 year old recovering college student that found out quite early that working for "the man" was never going to get me to my promised land. In my senior year of college, where I was studying family science, I learned about business and had my eyes opened to what my future could be like if I got into the right industry: one with no limitations. Business is literally a place where anything is possible. A place where you have to become your best self in order to get the things you want in life. In a job I was used to getting paid even if I did a poor job at my job, but this was never so in business. If I did a poor job I didn't get paid. Even though most people called the lifestyle of an employee "secure", at least for me, I found this lifestyle to be incredibly unrewarding where I was always just ahead of my next paycheck and waiting for good things to come to me (if my boss even noticed.) There is nothing wrong with being an employee, I just found that true security came in the acquisition of skills.
