Introduction	The Otro Diseño Foundation for Cultural Cooperation and Development is a non-profit organization based in The Netherlands that acts as a platform to promote the work of Latin American designers in an international context and to encourage the development of cultural projects between artists and designers from Latin America and other continents, providing opportunities for them to showcase their work in an international environment. The Otro Diseño Foundation for Cultural Cooperation and Development regards design as a mean of individual expression; a universal language where cultures can meet and communicate. Our mission is to foster awareness, understanding and appreciation of contemporary design from Latin America as well as to nurture design excellence through the encouragement cultural exchange and the celebration of diversity in the often converging fields of art and design. Design that is original and inventive, meaningful and resourceful: the result of a mixture of people, ideas and cultures.
