Introduction You want labels, here's some: I'm a loser with no job, barely ever had one. I'm 34, getting old and fat. My hair has been graying since my early twenties. Getting fat? I mean, I am fat. No good at being anorexic, too greedy for that. I have a boyfriend (God help him!) for the last 8 1/2 years. He's a saint, as you can imagine. I have a son (God help him, too). He's remarkably well-adjusted (So far! He's yet to turn into the parent-eating teenager we all fear our kids to really be) I suffer from a diagnosis of bipolar disorder (thanks, docs, you've been a great help...thanks a lot! (yeah right). I weaned myself off of the addiction of psychiatric hospitals by realizing we're all fucked and hopeless, no matter where we are, so might as well not be brain-washed and humiliated (but boy, were those art classes fun (I'm not kidding). Psych hospitals are like boarding school and an Alfred Hitchcock movie and a porno, lot's of sex and intrigue, danger, but comeraderie and laughs (Stockholm syndrome, anyone?)
