Introduction | A keen beer enthusiast who has spent the past 50 years exploring and enjoying the worlds of beer, pubs and brewing, both in the UK and abroad. I have been writing this blog for 17 years and have published nearly 2,000 posts, covering a wide range of beer and travel-related topics. Apart from beer, pubs and the enjoyment of both, I enjoy travelling and walks in the countryside. I was a CAMRA member for 45 years but resigned at the end of 2019. I live with my family in the beautiful Kentish Weald. For six years we both ran a successful real-ale off-licence, which as well as selling cask ale, offered one of the best selections of bottled beers in the south east. After selling the off-licence, I travelled extensively visiting many classic European beer destinations including Belgium Czechia, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, and Poland. I have also visited countries on the other side of the world, such as China, Japan, and the United States. A recent conversion to cruising, has resulted in visits to Norway, Greece and the Iberian peninsula. As with beer, I write about my travel experiences, in order to inspire readers to check out some of these places for themselves. |
