| Introduction | After a 25 year career in tv and radio production, I accidentally and happily wandered into my current field of police dispatching for a small police department in the Santa Cruz Mountains of Central California. Tolerating my presence are my wife, Patti Gay (a local artist with her own blog), my son Noah, a 19 year old severely affected by autism, and four ornery felines. Our lives are never predictable. The idea for this blog originated with a column I have been writing for over three years for the police department newsletter, sharing the same title, "Pending Details". This is an all-purpose dispatching term which can describe any number of events with which our officers or other staff have yet to tend to and resolve. It's the official term for "unfinished business". |
