Introduction I am an independent artist based in Toronto. I work with both analog and digital media in drawing, painting, and illustration. My work often focuses on themes such as violence, sexism, racism, women’s rights, and wars by portraying them in a critical and often ironic way. I actively participated in various human rights campaigns during my stay in Turkey. I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at Gazi University in Ankara, Turkey. I worked as an art teacher for 10 years at several high schools across Turkey. I also studied through the Graphic Design program at the Toronto Film School in 2015. My artwork has been included in over 30 exhibitions across many cities such as Erbil, Lausanne, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Athens, Ankara, Diyarbakir, Izmir, and Toronto. I’ve designed many book covers and magazine cover illustrations, as well as posters for theatre and film festivals. Please feel free to contact me by email if you need artistic designs for your books, albums, magazines, festivals, movies and other works of literature, cinematography, and music: serpilod@gmail.com
