Introduction I am an author with three short stories published to date. I have also begun a fledgling acting career with a supporting role in the film LA-308 and hopefully more on the way. I have been the senior writer/reviewer for bookreporter.com since 1998. Oh, yeah, and I also practice law, specializing in the areas of music and publishing. As I result I am a Fox News Channel contributor in the areas of publishing and entertainment media. Notwithstanding the foregoing, I am an extremely boring guy. I live in a very quiet town on a very quiet street with my wife Lisa, and my daughter Annalisa, with occasional visits from my adult children Joe, Mike, and Ashley, and my granddaughter Samantha, all of whom are more talented than I could ever hope to be in any field.
Interests Books, music
Favorite Movies Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, Hostel I and Hostel II, The Untouchables, Midnight Run, The Color Purple (am i allowed to say LA-308?)
Favorite Music Varies with my mood. I go on music jags where I listen to everything by a particular artist for weeks then switch to something else. I just finished weeks of listening to Guided By Voices, and am starting a surf music marathon now. I guess that I return to the r & b that came out of New Orleans in the 1950s and 1960s the most: Fats Domino, Little Richard, Prince La-La, The Spiders, Llord Price, and the like.
Favorite Books Presumed Innocent by Scott Turow, Black Cherry Blues by James Lee Burke, Misery by Stephen King

When you've got water stuck in your ear, how do you get it out?

Stick a gun barrel in my ear canal and wiggle it until the water comes out. Doesn't everyone do it that way?
