Introduction The Center for Advancement of Development Rights (CEADER) is a Nigerian-based non-governmental, not-for-profit women’s human rights organization that seeks to increase women and girls’ capacity to overcome gender based discrimination and strengthen their participation in leadership and development activities in their communities. CEADER works with women/girls, in Nigeria to provide human rights education, thematic trainings and utilizes advocacy and campaign activities as a tool for holding relevant agencies accountable to fulfilling their obligations to women and girls in Nigeria. CEADER’s work is largely based on the provisions of relevant international and local human rights laws, especially, the Convention on Elimination of All forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) and the Child Rights Convention (CRC). CEADER’s work is carried out through its 4 main programs: Women's Rights and Advocacy Program, Women in Leadership and Community Development Program, Women's Economic Empowerment Program and Women's Right to Health Program.
