| Introduction | Infomuse is a tag created from a combination of "information" and "muse" and has been my chosen online persona since the mid 1990's when I discovered AOL and listservs and the power of knowledge sharing on the internet. I learned about health informatics from the good folks at the National Library of Medicine (NLM) and then about nursing informatics from Dr. Susan Newbold. Graced with knowledge gained online, I began my first full time informatics job in Anchorage, Alaska in 1996. I still work as an informatics specialist, but now I even have credentials; an MS in Nursing from Excelsior College with concentration in Management of Clinical Information Systems. Certified in Nursing Informatics by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), I currently telecommute from my home in Florida. |
