Introduction	I am an armchair philosopher. I believe in the basic goodness of people as individuals. I am less optimistic when people get together and hide behind political parties or religious systems. I don't think life is very fair and that most of us are not comfortable with that notion. I think government and religion work to re-establish fairness. In some cases it works, in other cases not-so-much. I don't get into the concept of Hell too much because of the lives I see some people live here. I am probably not all that certain about Heaven either since most of what any of us would think of as heaven would eventually become a hell - go figure. I think in the bigger picture it is more important what you do with your life here and now. Are you making others happy and building them up or are you causing others pain so you build up yourself? I firmly believe that what you hate in others you hate in yourself, but are probably too blind to see. I believe that God puts us in contact with people who bother us, so to speak to us about our own faults.
