| Introduction | "I'll never be younger than I am today," I say to myself. "Therefore, live your life now, not tomorrow." I've raised three kids, all now twenty-somethings and in various stages of their lives. The youngest is in his senior year of college; the daughter has been married three years and is pregnant with her first child. The oldest son has three children, ages 5, 3 and 7 months, and he and his wife take the coolest vacations in the Pacific Northwest in their 27-ft. trailer. It's finally time to pursue, once again, some of those things I've always wanted to do in life. |

How is an ankle unlike a consequence?
An ankle is a body part, and a consequence is an event, something that occurs after the fact. My parents raised me to think of the consequences of my choices. The Dalai Lama would say to know what the 'rules' are, so you can know which ones to break. You could say there are some similarities between a consequence and an ankle. It's harder to think of how they are unlike.
