| Introduction | I am a woman in my 20’s who has recently been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome or EDS. This blog is a project to both distract me from the negatives of living with a crippling, degenerative disease and to document the daily frustrations and triumphs of living with it. No one ever said life would be easy and my life so far has proved that it certainly is not but it is worth fighting for. So with the help of close friends and a whole lot of willpower I will continue to carry on fighting this condition with everything I have and what better time to get started on documenting it than the new year and the run up to surgery number nine, which incidentally will also me major surgery number 2 and is likely to see me imprisoned in a hospital bed for at least a week-again! So that’s me, just your average 20 something living with what the world has thrown at me and trying to find the way through with as many laughs as possible. |
