Introduction I am a criminologist and since 1975, I have addressed the United Nations conferences on justice and human rights 15 times in Europe, Africa, South America and Asia. I am the precursor of the United Nations bill of rights for young offenders and my latest speeches on the rights of children were in Bangkok and Lima in April 2005 and in Brussels 2006. I brought in a law in Canada that compensates innocent people sent to prison and another law that makes it a requirement on the part of police officers to provide persons arrested by the police at any time of the day or night, the phone number of a lawyer who will give them free legal advice over the phone. At the age of 22, I created an organization in Scouts in 1956. It was later renamed Ventures and since then, it has hundreds of thousands of teenagers (boys and girls) as members of Ventures in 14 countries. Before I retired at age 74, I practiced law, was a private investigator, a syndicated newspaper columnist, editor of a magazine, and host of a TV talk show. I also did group counselling in correctional institutions.I am now writing books and so far, six of them have been published. What's in my blog are strictly my opinions.
