Introduction	In 1991 Izzy Asper, founder of Canwest Global, Global TV, and previous owner of the National Post, walked into a New Zealand newsroom he had just taken over and announced to his reporters that they were now "in the business of selling soap;" their job was disseminating news -- insofar as it turned a profit. This blog offers one person's mostly libertarian, fairly feminist, generally green and always irreverent alternative to the soap-selling ethos of corporate media.
