| Introduction | I am a mother of four young children. My eldest, Ivy, was diagnosed with autism at age two. She is now eight years old. I felt like I had been hung out to dry after Ivy was diagnosed. No one told me whom to call or what to do. I had to figure it all out by myself. I felt like I was wandering alone in a dark, murky wood, terrifed. My hope is to shine a light on the path for those who follow after me, to make things a little easier. I am not a doctor or a therapist, just a mom with some experience that may be helpful to you. |
