| Introduction | Old Worn-out Saddles is about my father, started when he was 93 and was still alive. If you read his blog, true stories told by him and transcribed by my mother, you'll be sad that you never had the chance to know them. If you like wine without pretense, you may like In Vino, Veritas. When my wife Shirley and I took our first journey to a wine country nearly 32 years ago, little did we realize that would be the first of many trips in which wine would be a companion, a point of growing interest, satisfaction and a fascinating source of new experiences. This blog is our attempt to share our love of wine and our sometimes frustrating, sometimes amusing, but always interesting attempts to master the world of wine. We are neither sommeliers, nor wine “experts”. Rather we are—mostly—self-educated wine lovers who wish to simplify the enjoyment of wine and, hopefully, impart a little of the knowledge we have gleaned along the way. Relationship Marketing will follow a number of small entrepreneurs as we investigate and apply strategies to grow and strengthen their businesses. Sort of several serials as they play out. |
