| Introduction | Born and raised in California, I came to Hawaii in 1976. I always loved art and have been drawing and painting since infancy. I discovered photography in Junior High School, and took my first job as a photographer the summer after my senior year of high school as a stringer for the Camarillo Daily News. My first island was Kauai, and it remains my favorite. I've also lived on Maui, the Big Island, Lanai and Molokai, and have lived on Oahu since 1995. I graduated from NY Institute of Photography while living on Maui in 1982, then apprenticed with a master photographer in Ventura, CA for a year before returning to Hawaii. I worked as a freelance photographer ever since I worked for the paper after my senior year, and finally ditched the "regular job" in 1993 and founded Paramount Photography Hawaii. I have truly been living in Paradise ever since! |
