Industry Education
Occupation IT Consultant
Introduction I hate this part. It always seems like not enough and narcissistic at the same time. Anyway, I'm fascinated by beautiful moving machines and love taking photos of them. Trains, planes, and motorcycles, especially motorcycles. Which is a good excuse to get out on my own bike to look for the cool/rare/dreamy bikes at the local hangouts. For work, I do IT consulting in just about whatever area needed. Right now seems to be web apps, which is funny because a year ago I professed my hate for them. I'm into interface design because years of helping people find a button have driven me to start making stuff where they can find the damn button themselves. Unfortunately, it's driven me down the rabbit hole of semiotics. A wonderful field for gaining an understanding of communication and interpretation, terrible for making you see how difficult it can be to make something obvious. Last, but certainly not least, I am a dad with a child headed off to college. No way is she escaping from my sage fatherly advice about the perils of university, boys, and not repeating the same stupid mistakes I made.
