Introduction	My name is Tiffany Thorne. This is currently my fourth year at Northern State University. I began my adventure here as a Music Major. Just like many other people, after a while I discovered that this major just wasn't for me. Keeping the love for music, I will finish the minor, and pursue a degree in Elementary Education. I went on a volunteer trip two years ago through S.E.R.V.E. (Students Engaging in Responsibility through Volunteerism and Empowerment) as a participant to Nashville, TN. We worked extensively with food security and food sustainability. At this time, I truly realized my passion for volunteering. I always knew that I enjoyed working with people, but after this experience, it became something that I wanted to focus on. The following spring, I lead an alternative break to New Orleans to help with relief work from hurricane Katrina. This time, I experienced all the outs and ends from the leader's perspective and became vastly interested in working with groups. It is more than rewarding to see the dynamics and growth from start to finish.
Interests	Some important things about me include; I have one older sister, Katie, both my parents are teachers, I have a dog named Shasta, I love scuba diving, I instruct yoga classes, and I am almost always willing to try new things. I am strongly interested to learn more about the smart board, as I have heard it is a useful tool in the classrooms.
