Introduction	Here’s the quick & dirty: I’m a recovering vocal coach (30+ years), former prof (opera and academic music classes at UMass Amherst), and opera administrator (PR, education, and fundraising). Most recent opera gig: being “The Opera Lady” at Pittsburgh Opera. My husband and I met at the IU School of Music and fell in love on our first date. After all these years, we still enjoy being total opera and history geeks, to the secret chagrin of our two fine daughters. Now that I’m no longer working in opera, we have the time and energy to attend and enjoy opera, concerts, dance, museums, and even gasp theater in our new home, Chicago. Now let’s have some fun with this here opera blog!
