Introduction	I'm a 30ish-year-old journalist born and bred in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Before coming back home, I spent about a decade going to school and working in New York and Washington, DC. I had hoped to return to the East Coast shortly after touching down in God's Country. Three years later, I'm still mastering the virtue of patience.
Interests	I graduated from the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in May 2007. I horrified my parents by getting a degree in "Peace Studies" from Colgate University in 2003. I love to travel, and have explored Southern Africa, the Balkans, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and parts of Central America. The Middle East is next on my list. Before moving to NYC for grad school, I was living in DC and working for Amnesty International, which reminds me of a crazy, entertaining relative who you know is dysfunctional but who you'll always love. Few things make me happier than the New Yorker and the New York Times. I like to run, and am decent at it. I like to do yoga, but it makes me look like a fish out of water. I have an addiction to massages I can't afford and feel a spiritual kinship with golden retrievers.
