Introduction I am a lifelong teacher, learner, and leader, currently serving as Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning with Deerfield (IL) Public Schools. Prior to this, I served as a school improvement specialist with Southern Regional Education Board; as a principal with Forsyth County (GA) Schools and NSSD 112 in Highland Park, Illinois; and as a classroom teacher for 18 years, teaching elementary school, middle school, and high school English. I am the author of several educational books including Improving Your School One Week at a Time and The 4 CORE Factors for School Success, co-authored with Dr. Todd Whitaker. I have served as an adjunct professor, teaching graduate level courses in research and assessment. Education: Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Master of Science degree from Troy University, Education Specialist’s degree from The University of Southern Mississippi, and a Doctoral degree from The University of Alabama. In addition to my passion for all things relating to teaching, leading, and learning, I am an avid long distance runner and have completed several marathons.
