| Introduction | In recent years, several Nigerian journalists have become object of threat, assassination, kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment and sudden deaths. One clear aspect of those who bear direct brunt of these as far as job-hazard in journalism is concern are the wives, mothers and children. Importantly, at the event of eventualities, the wives and children are left with nothing including upkeep, training of children to the dream of their breadwinners. And based on this premise,WE, the concerned women and wives of journalists in Nigeria decided to create this platform to share information and knowledge, mostly on how to remain focused in spite of challenges. Nigeria Journalists Wives Foundation (NJWF) goals entail ensuring that journalists’ wives in Nigeria do not suffer unnecessary injustice and should be proactively prepared to hold forte in the face of likely difficulties our husbands go through in contributing their quota to nation-building; in not being readily available and accessible; As long as one is married to ‘journalism’ via the husband, we have various benefits to sustain them in hour of need, through information sharing, which is key to knowledge. |
