| Introduction | I am an INFJ personality and a Virgo. This means that I am focused, determined, diligent, idealistic, organized, practical, quiet, reserved, compassionate, honest, idealistic, independent and a perfectionist. I have deep convictions about morality, social justice, civil liberties and minority education. I believe that people have a moral imperative to stand up for the defenseless and oppressed. I hope that my contributions will make a difference to make the world a better place and the people who live in it happier. I like to research an issue and investigate several viewpoints before taking a stand on my personal opinion. I try not to accept anything on face value -- My favorite questions are "Why?" and "How do you know?" I believe that citizens of democratic societies have a particular responsibility to be educated, informed and critical thinkers. I love words -- books, proverbs, quotations, research, reading and writing. I am opinionated and outspoken. I enjoy thoughtful discussions about controversial ideas. I am curious about several disciplines of the humanities and social sciences and I seek to learn more about many topics. |
