| Introduction | After retiring from the Navy after 22 year as a pilot (hurricane hunter, carrier aviator, accident investigator, squadron commander, and aircraft carrier Air Boss), I decided not to chase the airlines and, instead, returned to school and earned a 2nd masters degree in engineering. I have worked as an engineer now for 17 years, specializing in groundwater and surface water hydrology, post disaster damage evaluation and recovery, and project management.
