Introduction I was born and raised for the first half of my childhood in Germany and the second half in Canada and America. I am a naturalized American citizen and love my country. When I was young, I didn't like school very much; however, as an adult, I became addicted to learning and decided to go back to school to earn my bachelor's and later my master's degree. Now, in my eighth decade of life, I still write and paint landscapes in oil, although, admittedly, I am slowing down a bit because, besides writing and painting, I make sure to take time for my daily walks and jogs. Back In my college English classes, I had the reputation of being a prolific writer. I think "prolific" was my professor's code word because he had to read my long papers. My poems, essays, and short stories have appeared in the Lyceum Literary Journal, Facets Literary Journal, local newspapers, and the Senior Living News of Macomb County, Michigan. In 1990, I received the "Most Distinguished Poet of the Year Award from Mayor Ronald Bonkowski of Warren, Michigan. Currently, I've added watercolor landscapes to my oeuvre. It's a challenge, to be sure. CLICK ON THE ABOUT ME TAB FOR MORE INFORMATION

If mud is dirt plus water, what is clay?

A unique soil that is pliable enough to make pottery with. God is the potter. I am the clay . . .
