About me

Location Baltimore, Ohio
Introduction I grew up on a small farm in northwest Ohio and spent most of my youth writing doodling, taking pictures, reading and exploring the surrounding landscape. I was active in athletics and art in high school before heading to The Ohio State University where I studied agricultural communications. This led to a career in agricultural journalism. I am 32 years old and continue to work on the family farm on a regular basis. I have been married for seven years to my wonderful wife Kristin. We have a daughter Campbell who was born in the fall of 2007 and a son, Parker, born in August of 2009. Career I have served as the assistant editor for Ohio’s Country Journal, a statewide agricultural publication for more than ten years. I also do freelance work and on occasion I teach writing at Ohio Christian University. Education • Bachelor of Science in the field of Agricultural Communications from The Ohio State University in 1999. • Master of Science in the field of Agricultural Education from The Ohio State University in 2004 with a thesis project “Communication Behaviors, Traits and Information Sources of Ohio’s Creative Farmers.”
