He has often said, people become humorists because the job market for roofers is so overcrowded. A Philly boy awed by the brilliance of our founding fathers, that would be the men who invented Scrapple and Philly steaks, claims he wanted to be a rock singer but felt totally inadequate when he heard neighbor Frankie Avalon for the first time.
