| Introduction | I live in Southeastern Massachusetts where my employers are the 1600 terrific students of Wheaton College (and their parents...and our alumnae/i...and really anyone with a strong opinion about the college). |
| Interests | Kayaking, hiking, golf, music, movies, reading, good meals with interesting friends. |
| Favorite Movies | Anything that keeps my attention for two hours, and occupies my thinking for weeks afterwards. I think "Remains of the Day" and "Terminator 2" are close to perfect movies. I would like to see either Arnold S. in a Merchant/Ivory production, or Emma Thompson in a James Cameron epic adventure. |
| Favorite Music | "Adult Contemporary, " which kind of sounds like old fart music, but includes Patty Griffin, Warren Zevon, Jackson Browne, the Avett Brothers. |
| Favorite Books | I'm a sucker for excellent writing--elegant phrases that make me want to read them aloud. Since these can appear in novels, essays, non-fiction, biographies, etc., I'll read anything. Some books I think are perfect? "The Great Divorce, " "The Hours, " "The Art of Racing in the Rain, " "Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant." |
