| Introduction | I officially retired from my career job at the Social Security Administration on 01/03/08; my last day at work was 12/28/07. I adopted a puppy from North Shore Animal League on New Year's Day, 01/01/08. I had my first dog. I named him Liam after the Irish actor Liam Neeson. Liam is a rescue from Tennessee. The folks at NSAL told me that he might be a basset/lab mix. DNA testing showed he was in fact four dogs in one and neither of those. Liam is a beagle, dachshund, Irish setter and dalmatian. I began writing about my retirement adventures and Liam was always part of my stories. I had been writing since 1/08 and distributing my newsletter entitled "LiamLicks" via email. In early 2009, at a friend's suggestion, I decided to blog. Hope you join in. I am on Twitter, Instagram, FB, and Pinterest. And yes, Liam shows his affection with lots of licks. |
