| Introduction | As a young child I was always intrigued by makeup. I'd say Barbie was my first fashion inspiration. She was flawless and I set out the create makeup like hers. I would spend hours drawing just to draw makeup on the face I created on the page. I would get my hands into any sort of makeup product I could. My mother's best friend was the theatre director at the high school in my hometown. At the age of 12 she brought me into the high school theatre program and I began doing hair and makeup for them. I have never stopped doing hair and makeup since. Throughout junior high and high school I thrived on homecoming and prom seasons. After high school I detoured from what seemed to be my set path. I went off to UNT to major in photography. After 2 and a half years of study I transferred to Tarleton State University. I have my BFA in art with a minor in English. With my extensive study and understanding of art as a whole I knew I had a leg up in the makeup world. I spent this past winter studying at The Makeup Training Academy of Dallas and now am ready to share with the world my what I have done since birth...hair and makeup. |
