| Introduction | I love my family and my pets! I have been married to my incredible husband for 21 years and have two darling daughters, ages 12 and 10. We are the proud pet owners of two dogs, one turtle, and two goldfish. I am an 11th grade language arts teacher, entering my fourth year of teaching here at North Gwinnett and my 13th year of teaching. I have taught about half or more of that time at colleges and universities, including The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Indian River Community College, and Gwinnett Technical College. I have four older brothers, and since we have all married and had children and some grandchildren, my family of 5 has grown to 41. (Math is not my thing, but that is definitely multiplication!) My mom, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November of 2007, passed away at the beginning of last school year on September 13, 2008. She was an amazing woman who raised her five children singlehandedly after the death of my father when I was 2 years of age from a drunk driving accident. I miss her more than you can imagine and want to pick up the phone and call her as I did almost daily. I love life, and I am excited about the future! |
