Introduction | My husband, Saul, and I retired to central Florida in 2013. My entire family, as far back as my maternal grandmother were born and raised in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area. My husband and I were childhood sweethearts who lived around the corner from each other, and met for the first time when I was 11, back in 1961. He was born and raised in Israel, the child of two parents who were concentration camp survivors, and moved to the U.S. in 1959. We both have had a very long-standing interest in food and the cultural traditions associated with it, specifically in Judaism, but in other cultures as well. |
