Introduction	Like most people, I have done and seen many things in my life. Embroidery has seen me through all of life's unexpected chapters. It calms me - allows me to gather my thoughts peacefully when life is anything but. An old friend of mine took the time to show me the inner workings of embroidery when I was 19 and just out of college. From that time on, I have used the calming benefits of this timeless artform to anchor me in times that try the soul.
