| Introduction | Born in a small industrial town called Nelson in north west England. Lovely countryside around. First had an interest in sitar due to a film called The Golden Voyage of Sinbad in 1974. Initial interest was in fantasy creatures so Ray Harryhausen's films were of special interest. This was the 'switch' for me. Started learning sitar in January 1978 while still at High School due to knowing the daughter of a local player. Met so many other people through the 80s, professional & amateur & did so much performing then. |
